In 2014 Glashütte Original caused a sensation with the premiere of the newly developed, integrated chronograph calibrator 37. The innovative, compact and highly functional design of the new column wheel chronograph involuntarily inspired the international watch scene. The automatic movement celebrated its debut in the heart of two versions of the Senator Chronograph Panoramadatum: in a model of finely refined platinum and a warm shining red gold version. Glashütte Original gives the line now additional sporting charm. A striking new stainless steel version of the Senator Chronograph Panoramadatum complements the elegant first-class models.
A distinctive chronograph reveals itself from its sporting side
The new Senator Chronograph Panoramadatum inevitably catches the eye with its charming contemporary design: white printed details stand out clearly from the deep black dial - a contrast reinforced by the generous use of bright blue Super-LumiNova, with which not only the white gold Hour, minute and stop seconds, but also the Roman numerals at 6 and 12 o'clock as well as all hour indexes are coated. Even in the dark, it allows for the best readability.
Optimal readability also belongs to the typical characteristics of the unique Glashütte Original Panoramadatum. Centrally located in the lower half of the dial, it is below the triangle of 30-minute and 12-hour counters, as well as the small second into which the gear reserve display is charmingly integrated. A striking, alternating satin and polished stainless steel case of 42 mm diameter gives this robust, stylish and sporty new version convincing, casual elegance.
The German manufactory offers three different bracelets for their new model. The black calfskin strap has a blue seam, which is carefully matched to the characteristic color of the Super-LumiNova on the dial. A further black rubber bracelet is refined with a fine, laser-cut structure.
Both calfskin and rubber versions are available with a folding clasp or a traditional pin buckle. A third bracelet of polished and satin stainless steel can easily be adapted to the needs of the wearer. Its patented, innovative closure can be adjusted in eight settings - for optimal comfort. A double safety mechanism with two pushers on each side prevents inadvertent opening of the buckle.
